Certificate Program: Advanced Biblical Study

Advanced Biblical Study

Croatia is a “Christian” country where most people know something about Jesus but do not necessarily know his teachings.  How can people claim to follow Jesus if they do not know his teachings or understand his words?

Croats desperately need to meet the Jesus of the Bible.  Croatian believers in Jesus Christ desperately need solid education and training in the Bible–both the biblical truths AND their application to real life.

This is why The Biblical Institute offers a certificate program in Advanced Biblical Studies, to serve as a tool for promoting and enhancing biblical literacy. Our goal at the Institute is to prepare and equip believers for Christian life and/or ministry.

After finishing this program, students will be able to:

  • identify and explain the story of the Bible;
  • identify and explain key theological concepts in Christian theology;
  • demonstrate the usage of basic hermeneutical tools in reading and studying of the Bible.

The program is designed for:

  • lay believers who want spiritual growth
  • those who are in Christian ministry and want to gain additional knowledge, skills and tools for their ministry

The Certificate in Advanced Biblical Studies allows for two modes of participation.

  • STUDENTS are enrolled for credit, and pay tuition.  They must attend lectures (live & online) and are also required to do additional work and pass exams.
  • LISTENERS are only obligated to attend lectures. In some settings, they pay a course fee.

Nine mandatory courses and five elective courses. The Biblical Institute offers 12 elective courses, students can choose five from these offerings.

After completing the program, listeners will receive a certificate and students will receive 30 transferable credit hours.
