Stanko Jambrek, scientific advisorin the interdisciplinary area of science, received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Evangelical Theological Faculty in Osijek. In 2001 he earned his PhD in Theology in the United States, and in 2012 in History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb.

Stanko served as a pastor in two evangelical churches, as the Evangelical Pentecostal Church Secretary for Croatia as well as the secretary for the Protestant Evangelical Council. He has published several books and articles in Croatian and international journals. Along with his co-workers from the Biblical Institute, Stanko founded “Kairos: Evangelical Journal of Theology” that is published twice a year in Croatian and English. Stanko was the chief editor of Kairos from its founding in 2007 until his retirement in 2020. He also taught Church History and Theology at several theological schools and was a lecturer at the Biblical Institute from 2002 until 2020. Although Stanko retired in 2021, he is still active at the Biblical Institute as project leader for the project “Evangelical Churches in Croatia from 1990 to 2020”. He is a member of numerous scientific and professional associations, including the Evangelical Theological Society (Croatia), the Evangelical Theological Society (USA) and the International Society of Christian Apologetics (USA). Stanko lives in Zagreb, Brdovec and Langley (Canada).
