This issue is part of the research project <em data-start=\"274\" data-end=\"341\">The Concept of Discipleship Among Evangelical Churches in Croatia<\/em>, conducted by the Biblical Institute in Zagreb.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"393\" data-end=\"896\">Kotel Dadon explores the roots of discipleship in Judaism, focusing on the development of the public Jewish education system. Greg Ogden examines what it truly means to be a disciple of Jesus\u2014and whether there\u2019s a meaningful distinction between being a Christian and a disciple. Daniel G. Oprean offers a fresh perspective by outlining three portraits of failed discipleship in the Gospel of Matthew. Kenneth L. Cukrowski reflects on Luke 6:40, asking how disciples are shaped through following Jesus.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"1270\">The Pastoral Epistles (Titus and 1 &amp; 2 Timothy) also speak into the topic of discipleship, explored in Perry L. Stepp\u2019s article <em data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1073\">Building (Not Burning) Bridges for the Gospel<\/em>. Corneliu C. Simu\u021b highlights how J. I.
