The World of Jesus of Nazareth

The online course series The World of Jesus of Nazareth consisted of four weekly lectures, led by guest lecturer Judita Paljević Kraljik from the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek. Together, we explored a central question: What kind of world did Jesus live in?

By learning about the Jewish way of life during Jesus’ time—through insights from archaeology, history, and theology—participants gained a deeper understanding of Jesus Christ and His life on earth. This exploration offered a richer, more personal reading of the New Testament, bringing to life the vivid and complex context of the world in which Jesus lived.

The course covered four key topics:

• The World Before the Birth of Jesus of Nazareth

• The World During the Life and Ministry of Jesus of Nazareth

• The World of the Last Week of Jesus of Nazareth

• The World After Jesus of Nazareth

Together, these sessions provided a comprehensive overview of the biblical story: God’s plan revealed in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the person of Jesus Christ.
