Croatians Experience: “That the World May Know”

Edita:
“The film really impressed me, and through this video, the world of the first century, as well as Jesus and His work, become clearer, more accessible, and more impactful for me. I thank everyone who prepared the film and, in this way, spread the message of Jesus Christ—that He is Lord and above all. Thank you.”

Teo:
“Impressions of the documentary: I love when a narrator, with their knowledge and words, takes you back to that time and presents the whole story, even more than what is revealed in the Bible, but still closely connected to the biblical narrative. That particularly impressed me.”

Srećko:
“The film is striking and drew a good parallel between the Roman emperors and the One who was despised, but who is our Lord. It was interesting to see how everything the Romans did and the honor they showed to the emperor as lord, contrasts with the honor we show to the Lord. It showed how people sought to humiliate Him, but the One who was considered defeated by the world is our victor and has risen.”

Lea:
“I really liked the film because, for those of us who are not so familiar with history and historical events, it presents things in a very simple way, showing how it was back then. And in light of that, I personally understood the context of the Bible and the events of that time much better tonight. So, I highly recommend watching this short film, and I believe it will be an encouragement and will help explain some biblical events more clearly.”

Filip:
“How can I sum up the entire impression in a few words? God’s story is so complex, and how sovereign God is over His creation and historical events—that through this one event, there is an irony of triumph while at the same time He endured the shame of the cross. That cross was the means of the greatest shame, the worst punishment someone in the Roman state could endure. How fully in control God was over all of this—to use that very symbol to declare Christ as King, victor over death and sin. At the same time, He took upon Himself the shame of sin on our behalf. That’s the amazing greatness of God in all of this.”

Mateo:
“I think Ray is a quality biblical teacher. I appreciate his attitude and focus on young generations. I like the overall theme of the videos, which is putting the viewer in the Jewish perspective of that time. Ray makes very interesting conclusions through the biblical events he covers, and in one video, he shares his testimony, which touched my heart.

There were also some minor points in his explanations of certain events that differ from what I’ve heard from other biblical teachers, but those are less significant. I really like that in each or almost every video he weaves in an evangelistic note; as I understand, these videos are made for a general audience, “That the world may know.”

Production-wise, it’s great for the time it was made; the video material, graphics, and music are excellent. If I were to rate the video materials, I would give them 10/10 because I believe Ray’s entire ministry is pleasing to God and that these materials greatly contribute to building His kingdom.”
